I completed my graduation in Agricultural Engineering from Coimbatore, India, and went on to gain Post Graduate Diplomas in both Materials Management and Systems Management from National Institute of Technology (NIT)Trichy, India. I’ve also completed an MBA in Human Resource Management from Vinayaka Missions University in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India.
In total, I have served the field of Public Procurement directly in varied ways for 31 years. I’ve worked as an Assistant Engineer with the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Government of Tamil Nadu from 1984 till 2008 and as an Assistant Executive Engineer from 2008 onwards. I have had a good track record in handling procurement like tenders in the regular schemes, and World Bank Assisted Schemes like IAMWARM & DRIP.
I am immensely interested in public procurement and online courses, and that is what motivated me to complete the course. Overall, I am committed to exploring all the ways and means by which Public Procurement can be improvised and professionalised. I have a small family comprising of my wife and a son who is 27 and an IT professional.
My foremost message to Public Procurement professionals would be to try and follow the latest scientific methodology and avoid malpractices alongside upholding the confidence of the public and stakeholders.
