My educational qualifications include BA from University of California Davis, MS Procurement and Contract Management from St. Mary’s College, and Executive Education in Negotiations from Stanford University.

My work experience include purchasing, strategic purchasing and source to settle experience for global government contractor as well as Siemens and Oracle. My reason to pursue Certificate Program in Public Procurement was to get an update on global perspective on public procurement.

Education and continuous training are keys to developing procurement professionalism. It is important for all procurement professionals to participate in and lead training on a regular basis. Also, I would suggest that while there are some areas where Public and Private Procurement differ, there is great benefit for people to learn about best practices in each area. I try to attend conferences and training frequently to stay current and also help others.

The materials and training for the Certificate Program in Public Procurement course are world class and professionals at all levels will benefit from the course. I have recommended it to others as well.
