My educational qualifications include Bachelor Degree – Biology Department – Baghdad University. I am currently working with Ministry of construction & housing and municipalities public-Roads & bridges directorate – PMT department. My procurement specific work experience includes being Member of bid opening & evaluation committee for many projects and assisting in preparation of bidding documents and prepare follow up status of EODP projects.

Public procurement has become one of the most important professions in the world specially in developing countries which suffered from terrorism, internal displacement of vulnerable people, corruption, etc. This require from us to provide quick and efficient project support so the internally displaced people can return to their homes & practice basic human rights. Here my friends come the important part of the procurement and as one of my favorite quotes reads “procurement is the guardian of the contract, with this great power comes great responsibility”. And, I hope to be as responsible.

Certificate Program in Public Procurement offers a great opportunity to understand fundamentals of public procurement which will be the base of the projects financed by the World Bank. I’m very committed for obtaining the knowledge in public procurement to get professionalization in this work area. The absence of female procurement officers in my country will always motivate me to put my heart & soul in professionalization in public procurement.
